The engineered coating formulation produces a soft, stable arc that pulses on both AC and DC- polarity. The pulsing feature reduces heat build-up that causes castings to crack while being welded. No preheat or post-heat is required - saving you time and labor costs. 905SP can be used to weld all weldable castings including gray, gray alloys, ductile, Meehanite, and nodular. It can also be used to join cast-to-steel and cast-to-stainless. The resulting weld deposits are dense, machinable, and threadable, with a higher tensile strength than most original castings.
